In October 2023, Špela Pahor, the champion of the 16th Chinese Bridge Competition for Secondary School Students in Slovenia, went to China to participate in the finals.

Athletes from all over the world gathered in Beijing to embark on an in-depth cultural journey. They visited famous Beijing attractions such as the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City, and felt the rich heritage of China's thousand-year culture. This is not only a competition, but also a cultural exchange across national borders.

Subsequently, the contestants went to Dali, Yunnan for the finals. The competition at this stage covers many aspects such as Chinese knowledge examination, speech and talent show. Through language exchange, the contestants truly felt the rich cultural connotation carried by the Chinese language. This in-depth learning experience gave Špela a deeper interest and love for Chinese. In the end, Špela won the Excellence Award for her outstanding performance and won a scholarship to study in China for one semester.
